...rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning...
We live in an era of information overload and my aim is not to add yet another blog to the millions of others that already exist, (although yes this is ironically exactly what I am doing) but to stir up the flame and to offer a viewpoint (or even a ‘way of seeing’) I have received, whilst exploring things of God with the Creator Himself!
Almost immediately after becoming a Christian in 1992, I started receiving biblical answers in a way others considered quite unusual. When I finally decided to share my experiences with other brothers and sisters in Christ, they seemed very surprised but also blessed by it.
As a young Christian, not understanding anything about the bible and spiritual things, the most logical thing to do seemed like praying and asking the Holy Spirit, the author of the book Himself, to reveal to me what such and such meant. I would spend hours every day reading my bible and when the night came, I was almost too sad to be dragged away from it all! I’d lay in my bed, wondering about the things I read and this is when God ‘spoke’ to me! It was so instant and so obvious, I never had to ask twice!
I would ponder over a scripture and invariably I’d have a question. I needed to know what God thought of such and such… and in an instant, I was lifted out of my body to where God was. Far above the earth, far above all the issues, problems etc. He lifted me into the outer atmosphere…I was out of my body yet at the same time in my body, looking at myself with that question. God was showing me His perspective! And the answers came in an instant in form of crystal clear clarity! “Aah, that’s what it means!”
My Heavenly Father, the almighty creator was teaching me to see things through His eyes via different perspective! What an honour! What a privilege!!!
Looking back at those days now 32 years later, I can see how God paved the way for me to rely on Him first, in everything. He was showing me just how natural supernatural things actually are… and it has continued, until this day! The ways He speaks with me, have changed over time, but the voice is the same unmistakable, ever-loving and all-knowing voice of love ❤️
So these are the sort of things you can expect to read in my other posts too: something God has done in my life, which at a time felt very natural but completely supernatural at the same time and as a result, have had a profound effect on my life in one way or another.
Whether you are a Christian or not, I hope to shed some light onto things not seen, things that are far beyond our understanding but have the ability to reach deep into our souls and touch it in an unimaginable way!
PRAYER
God, I come to you with an open heart, I am ready to learn whatever you want to teach me! I put aside my own understanding and I ask You to guide my steps. Please help me to find and walk the path You have for me.
